School Council

Our school councils, are a group of pupils/students who act as representatives of their classmates in discussing school issues with the headteacher and staff. Students are elected to represent the views of all pupils and also to improve our school. They help to make decisions about how the school is run and take on projects that support the children’s learning and development, such as organising charity events, representing the school at outside events, or ensuring the school is environmentally friendly.

Our school councils meets every two/three weeks and provide a way for pupils to have a voice. They act as representatives of their classmates and their views are taken into account when organising events such as the events and celebration, for example, Children in Need, Anti-Bullying Week etc. They help to organise fundraising and bring to the meetings any issues raised in their classes.

The school council nominate a Chair, Secretary and Treasurer at their first meeting, of the academic year.
